201 Carat Chopard Watch
How many diamonds does one watch need? In what colors? How about one pink, one blue, 352 of flawless clarity and 520 in intense shades of yellow? Why not have it all, since we’re talking about one of the the world’s most expensive accessories?
The 201 Carat watch by Chopard features three heart-shaped diamonds. The pink diamond weighs in at 15 carats. The blue weighs 12 carats and a large brilliant comes in at 11 carats. Set in a bracelet encrusted with white pear-shaped diamonds arranged in the pattern of flower motifs with a yellow diamond standing up from the center of each set of petals, the 201 Carat Chopard has to be seen in all its beauty and brilliance to be believed.
With a total carat weight of 163 carats for white and yellow diamonds, the total carat weight of the watch is 201 (as the name suggests). The spring-loaded mechanism that allows the three heart shapes to mechanically open up in the manner of a flower in the sunshine. The watch face, pave-set with small yellow diamonds, is exposed beneath the heart-shaped diamonds in a most exquisite and delicate manner, which may help explain the watch’s price tag of $25 million, making it the world’s most expensive watch (at least for now).
