Most Luxurious Castles to Get Married In

If you’re planning on dishing out the cash to get married in a luxurious destination, why not get married in the most luxurious of them all: a castle!

1. Luttrellstown Castle

This gorgeous Irish Castle, located just outside of Dublin, garnered much attention when Victoria and David Beckham chose this destination for their famous wedding in 1999.  Luttrellstown Castle is adorned with historic paintings, and lies on 560 acres of land. The estate includes an 18-hole championship golf course. Around the time of the Beckhams’ wedding, renting Luttrellstown castle cost £10,000, but once they included the catering costs for the event (which included over 300 invited guests) plus other amenities, it reportedly cost them closer to £100,000. Currently, renting out Luttrellstown Castle for a week will cost you between £38,150- 45,780.

2. Oheka Castle

Although not technically a castle, this château-esque style mansion, built in Long Island, NY, in 1919, has 127 rooms and is known as the second-largest private residence in the United States. This American landmark, named WE TV’s #1 Unforgettable Wedding Venue, has been the destination of many extravagant and expensive weddings.  Kevin and Danielle Jonas were so thrilled with their wedding at Oheka, that they wrote the owner an appreciative letter raving about the venue‘s beautiful views, delicious food, and fantastic service! With an average approximate site fee of $10,000 plus $250-450 per guest, we wouldn’t expect any less

3. Castello Orsini-Odescalchi

This beautiful Italian Castle, among one of the best preserved, lies an hour outside of Rome. The Castello Orsini-Odescalchi is home to countless pieces of medieval art, the Church of Santo Stefano, and the stunning Giardino Segreto, or “secret garden,” overlooking Lake Bracciano. This glorious location was the spot chosen by billionaire James Stunt and his wife Petra for their reception in 2011. The rental of the castle cost the Stunts a whopping £ 310,000 – blowing all other expensive venue prices out of the water. Still, it was affordable for the pair. James Stunt is a successful collector and private financier with a net worth of $5-$7 billion. Meanwhile, his wife is a billionaire heiress! A power couple like that certainly needs a power wedding.
